Цели и задачи журнала
- Предоставление ученым, аспирантам и докторантам в России и за рубежом возможности публиковать результаты своих исследований.
- Привлечение внимания к наиболее актуальным и перспективным направлениям теории и практическим расчётам, проектированию новых уникальных зданий и сооружений.
- Обеспечение возможности дискуссий, обмена мнениями по широкому кругу разработки расчётов, теории сооружений и совершенствованию нормативных документов между исследователями из разных регионов РФ и зарубежных государств.
Редколлегия журнала принимает статьи ведущих специалистов и начинающих авторов в области теории сооружений, разработки и обоснования расчётных моделей, достаточно полно и однозначно соответствующих исследуемым объектам, процессам и явлениям - физических моделей, приводящих теоретическое изучение инженерных проблем к достоверным результатам. Особенно важно построение теорий и нормирование процессов ползучести, усадки, температурных деформаций, динамических, циклических воздействий, в частности, моделирование реакций на интенсивные сейсмические воздействия с учетом нелинейных факторов, включая пластическое деформирование, накопление усталостных повреждений и деградацию жесткости несущих элементов в процессе колебаний.
В связи со строительством высотных зданий приобретают актуальность вопросы динамического расчёта на действие порывов ветра, расчёт и конструирование фундаментов нового типа, виброизоляция зданий, расположенных вблизи линий метрополитена и других источников вибраций. Обобщение новых достижений в области расчёта сооружений для совершенствования нормативной базы проектирования конструкций из различных материалов. Требуется привести в соответствие результаты прогрессивных расчётов на ЭВМ с результатами расчетов согласно нормам. Этому должны способствовать как улучшение структуры норм, так и упрощение теории расчетов, развитие аналитических и инженерных методов расчета, сохраняющих ясный физический смысл исследуемых явлений.
В условиях возросших по количеству природных и техногенных запроектных воздействий большое значение приобрела проблема безопасного функционирования строительных объектов. Требуют дальнейшего совершенствования легкие ограждающие конструкции из дерева, пластмасс, алюминия и методы их расчёта.
Журнал публикует материалы научно-технических конференций и симпозиумов, направляемых оргкомитетами. В соответствии с российским законодательством о СМИ и регистрационными документами в журнале публикуются рекламные материалы, посвященные передовым технологиям в строительной науке, практике и образовании, информационные сообщения о знаменательных событиях, научных конференциях, отраслевых выставках.

Специальности журнала "Строительная механика и расчет сооружений"
Приказом Минобрнауки России от 24.02.2021г. № 118 утверждена новая номенклатура научных специальностей, по которой присуждаются ученые степени. Журнал "Строительная механика и расчет сооружений" входит в Перечень рецензируемых научный изданий, в которых должны быть опубликованы основные научные результаты диссертаций на соискание ученой степени кандидата и доктора наук, по специальностям:"Structural Mechanics and Analysis of Constructions"
The goals and objectives of the journal
1. To provide scientists, postgraduates and doctoral candidates in Russia and abroad with the opportunity to publish the results of their researches.
2. To draw attention to the most relevant and promising areas of theory and practical calculations, design of new and unique buildings and structures.
3. To provide opportunities for discussions on a wide range of calculation methods, the theory of structures and improvement of the regulatory documents among researchers from different regions of the Russian Federation and other countries.
The editorial Board of the journal accepts articles from leading specialists and novice authors in the field of the theory of structures, development and substantiation of calculation models, rather fully and uniquely corresponding to the studied objects, processes and phenomena – physical models, which lead the theoretical study of engineering problems to reliable results. It is especially important to develop theories and normalize processes of creep, shrinkage, temperature deformations, dynamic, cyclic and seismic effects, in particular, to model reactions for intensive seismic impacts taking into account nonlinear factors, including plastic deformation, accumulation of fatigue fracture and degradation of stiffness of load-bearing elements in the fluctuation process.
Due to high-rise buildings’ construction the issues of dynamic analysis for wind effects, calculation and design of foundations of a new type, vibration isolation of buildings situated near subway lines and other sources of vibration are becoming topical. It is important to summarize new achievements in the field of construction analysis in order to improve the regulatory basis for the design of structures of different materials.
It is necessary to align the results of progressive computer calculations with the results of calculations according to the norms. This should be facilitated by both improvement of the rules’ structure and simplification of the theory of calculations, and development of analytical and engineering calculation methods with concrete physical meaning of the investigated phenomena.
While the number of natural and technogenic out of project impacts has been increased, much greater importance was given to the problem of safe functioning of construction objects. The light-weight enclosing structures made of wood, plastics, aluminum and other new materials are to be further improved.
The journal publishes materials of scientific conferences and symposia, which are submitted by the organizing committees. According to the Russian legislation on mass media and the journal registration documents the journal also publishes advertising materials dedicated to the advanced technologies in the building science, practice and education, informational messages about significant events, scientific conferences, industry exhibitions.

Specialties of the journal "Structural Mechanics and Analysis of Constructions"
By Order of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation No. 118 dated 02./24.2021, a new nomenclature of scientific specialties was approved, according to which academic degrees are awarded. The journal "Construction Mechanics and calculation of structures" is included in the List of peer-reviewed scientific publications in which the main scientific results of dissertations for the degree of candidate and Doctor of Sciences, in the following specialties, should be published:
2.1.1 "Building constructions, structures and facilities",
2.1.2 "Bases and foundations, underground structures",
2.1.9 "Structural mechanics".
